We have started Dream Accent for about half a year now and we have not done any vigorous marketing for our company yet. All the clients whom we have dealt so far were either from friends or referrals. Another words, we are quite passive in terms of our marketing. There was a constant flow of projects and we focused on completing them. Some projects took about 2 weeks some 1 month but the longest was half a year. So we didn’t see the need for us to find sales.
Now that we have completed all of our projects and successfully developed our very own Content Management System (CMS), so what’s next?
This question leads us to think deeply about the direction we are going. Back to basic, we started because we see a need in our society for good design and good service. After meeting a few clients, we realized that is not all, they need good pricing too. Along our journey, we have met a few designers, some charge high but mostly charge low (to the extreme of spoiling the market). The clients are not educated about the world of design and web. It is to our responsibility to do that, I supposed. Recalling our tag line:
“Through art, we paint the walls of every street beautifully with our artistic hands.
Through design, we provide the best solutions for every problem arises in our environment.
Through service, we give our best to anyone who comes to us.
Through success, we bless those who are less fortunate than us.”
Design is not about drawing or about painting. It is about solving problem creatively (visually and logically). If there’s a need, we meet it! In Dream Accent, much effort has been put into research and experiment. When we’ve got the concrete knowledge, it is our duty to educate our clients with the current and future standard of design and technology. However, how are we going to do that? We have not done sales before and it is pretty “scary” to knock at someone’s door and offer them our service. Well Dreamers, let’s step out of our comfort zone!
